June 2017

Dear Wonderful Friends of Healing Music,

HAPPY SUMMER!!!!  I hope that you are enjoying these beautiful days of sun and rain and birdsong and green green everywhere! So lovely.

And I hope that you had a Happy Solstice! I had a wonderful evening of sound and ceremony playing with Mark Daniel at Akasha's Den in Oakville.  Thank you Mary for hosting us in your fabulous new location!!!

Mark and I also played in June in Ottawa at the lovely Adi Shakti yoga centre - which also has a beautiful new location in Orleans! Big thanks to Ram Das for hosting us, a lovely, lovely event.

It is a remarkable time - so many new energies and new things happening! And for me a new flute has just arrived. A beautiful North American Flute made by Rommy on Vancouver Island. It is a hummingbird on a pear tree! Pear wood with painted butterflies. It is gorgeous! And the sound is sweet like pear juice.... I will be teaching with this pretty new flute. And I'm sure it will end up on a recording and played during a Music Meditation!

I had a thrilling encounter with Aaron Neville - one of my favourite singers of all time! He has the voice of an Angel..... We had a little chat and luckily I had my Sacred Sounds Trilogy CD with me and gave him one. What a nice meeting!

I am looking forward to playing at the Toronto Reference Library on July 11, 6:00pm, sponsored by our 'Music Can Heal' Association.  I will be talking about healing music and my spiritual journey and will be offering a Music Meditation.

July 22, 7:30pm wonderful bassist Chris Gartner and I will be returning to Esther Myers Yoga Studio for another peaceful, relaxing healing Music Meditation. We are almost finished our new CD!!! Just one piece to go.....Stay tuned....

For Ottawa area friends August has lots of fun events! August 4, 2:00pm is our Shakuhachi Playday - open to players of all levels and we also welcome non-shakuhachi musicians! August 5, 7:00pm we will be at Remic Rapids with a group of Sacred Dancers. We will be performing in and around the beautiful rock sculptures of John Ceprano. And last but not least is our Annual Concert on August 6, 7:00pm. Plus a bonus - Rebecca Cragg is offering a Tea Ceremony to the first 6 concert goes who purchase tickets and I will be offering a Music Meditation during the Ceremony. Start time for the Ceremony is 6:15pm. Thank you so much Rebecca! Here is a photo of me playing in the beautiful Tea Ceremony Zen garden.

August 21 - Music Meditation on the Pirate Ship...... ok, I know it sounds weird but it was a really, really sweet and fun event last year! I'll update the EVENTS listing as soon as I have the exact time but I do know that we are starting off from 333 Lakeshore Dock. (how exciting - I love 333!)

For complete details on these events please scroll down to EVENT LISTINGS. And look for new events and updates under EVENTS at
