I have had such a busy springtime! I think my busiest ever! Played at so many magical events, met so many wonderful people! Life is goodly (fairy word).
MUSIC MEDITATION
One more event this marvellous month of May - a Music Meditation with my friend Andrea Gerhardt. She sings the ancient, beautiful Songs of Hildegard and plays the harp and a few other gorgeous instruments. ! APRIL & MAY ADVENTURES
In April I travelled to Ottawa for teaching and playing. Here I am having a quiet moment before playing with Mark Daniel at the lovely home of Catherine. Thanks so much Catherine for hosting us! And then a lovely photo of us playing the following week at Esther Myers Yoga Studio in Toronto. I love the fairy lights in this photo!!!
Here is a Magical Tree picture from a workshop I offered to a wonderful Women's Group. The tree is on the banks of the Humber River. It was a magical day! Thanks to all who attended and special thanks to Kathleen for graciously hosting the event!
I had an amazing evening as I always do playing for the Satsang offering of Jac O'Keefe. The rain was pounding down on the tin roof - an incredible soundscape for my shakuhachi meditation! Jac is one of my favourite spiritual speakers, a lovely Irish woman who shares ancient wisdom with us all. Thank you Jac for being you! www.jac-okeefe.com
Then one of the highlights of the year so far - playing at Convocation Hall at the University of Toronto for the conference entitled: 'Finding Common Ground'. Presented by the organization A Mindful Society. www.amindfulsociety.org I played for 600 attendees on the opening night at Convocation Hall. I also offered a Music Meditation for the group on Sunday morning. Wonderful people, wonderful group energy. Thanks so much to the organizer Michael Apollo for including me at the conference again this year.
Here I am doing my sound check at Convocation Hall. I have a lovely picture of me playing later in the night - I'll include that one in my yearly newsletter!
My next April event was with my dear friend David Price Francis. We offered an Energy Workshop at Trinity St. Pauls United Church. It was an amazing night; always a pleasure working with David. We are continuing to work on our guided meditations and will have more of them released this year!
Then off to Bancroft for some meetings about projects, video and photo shoots and playing at the lovely 'The Place for the Arts'.
I started off the month of May with a delightful evening concert hosted by guitar player extrordinaire, Mark Battenberg. One of the spoken works by Mark was about Iris the Fairy and so I dressed up as Iris! A lovely night with lots and lots of donations for the food bank. Thank you Mark for organizing this beautiful event!

There are some lovely upcoming Music Meditations. The May 27 with Andrea Gerhardt I mentioned at the top of the letter. Then off to Ottawa to play at Adi Shakti on June 9 and to Oakville to play at Akasha's Den on June 21, both events with my friend Mark Daniel playing Tibetan and crystal bowls. The next Toronto meditation at Esther Myers is on July 22 with Chris Gartner.
On July 11, 6:00pm, I will be offering a Healing Music Talk and Music Meditation at the Toronto Reference Library - an event sponsored by our association: Music Can Heal. www.musiccanheal.org

MUSIC MEDITATION, MOVEMENT MEDITATION with the rock sculpture of JOHN CEPRANO Please join Debbie Danbrook and musical friends, including the Take Club Shakuhachi Group along with dancers from the Sacred Dance Guild for a beautiful and peaceful Walking Meditation through the rock garden sculptures. Participants will be invited to sit or to join in a meditative walk with music/dancers weaving throughout the space. After the performance we will sit together and enjoy the sunset.

Maximum of 3 participants - booking for this tour starting in summer, 2017
Please join me and a few participants for the annual Cherry Blossom tour to Japan. We will travel to my favourite temples where I will offer Music Meditations under the Cherry Blossoms. Tour includes travel to Nara, Kyoto, Osaka, and sometimes Ise, the spiritual centre for the Shinto religion. We will enjoy peaceful and tranquil walking meditations at ancient sites, experience a traditional Tea Ceremony, listen to healing music and of course eat fabulous Japanese food, drink sake and shop!!!!
