Dear Friends of Healing Music, Happy Thanksgiving! I hope that you all had a wonderful time this weekend - we have so much to be thankful for! I am thankful for the wonderful, loving people in my life. Thankful for the beautiful trees, thankful for all the wonderful animals I get to hang out with. And especially thankful that I didn't get sprayed by the two skunks that chased me the other night through the courtyard!!!!!! Well actually I got in front of one skunk that was being chased by another skunk.......I can run very quickly! It was a beautiful September and I am again very thankful for the lovely events I played at. And the lovely people that attended! I played again with my friend Mark Daniel at the beautiful Kalyana Yoga Shala in Ottawa. A lovely night as it always is! www.kalyanayoga.ca Then up to Bancroft to play at Grail Springs (www.grailsprings.com) - a magical, mystical healing centre with the most beautiful Enchanted Forest.... I got to hang out with some of my favourite people and I met some amazing new friends! Here I am in the forest at the Grail - I love this sign, BREATHE - SMILE. Dear Friends of Healing Music, Happy almost end of summer! What a fantastic summer it has been!!!!! I hope that you have all enjoyed yourself and loved the beautiful weather! Can you believe how quickly it has gone? Time flies - we must be having fun!!!! I had one of my best summers ever - so many lovely events, so many lovely people! Here is what went on in August.... I offered a Music Meditation with my good friend Mark Daniel in Toronto at Esther Myers Yoga Studio. It was a lovely and peaceful evening... I so love playing these Music Meditations and I can always feel my Angels pouring their Divine Love down upon us as we play.... The August Ottawa trip was so beautiful. First the gathering with my Shakuhachi students - our 'Playday' celebration. I am so happy and grateful and proud of my students. Shakuhachi is very difficult but incredibly rewarding..... The next day we offered our Healing Concert - both events at Camellia House. Thank you Rebecca and Matthew for hosting us again in your beautiful space! And thanks to Ian Hepburn for his lovely harp, Rebecca Cragg for her exquisite live painting, and thank you to my students for their lovely appearance in the concert. Here we are after the concert playing in the lovely Zen Garden. And here is Rebecca creating a beautiful painting while we offered our healing sounds. The two paintings from each half of the evening were raffled off and taken home by lucky audience members. The next day took us all to Remic Rapids to an event entitled Transformations. We had a huge group of Sacred Dancers choreographed by Wendy Morrell of the Sacred Dance Guild. I was the Pied Piper and I led the dancers on a Walking Meditation through the incredible beautiful rock sculptures of John Ceprano. Thanks to Ian and Nancy and my students for their musical accompaniment. It was a gorgeous night!!!! www.sacreddanceguild.org www.jfceprano.com/ The next week I was back in Toronto to play on a Pirate Ship!!!! It was a beautiful Healing Boat Cruise. The Healing Water Ceremony was led by Danielle Lobo and then my music wafted across the waters..... Thanks to Matt from the pirate ship for captaining this lovely healing event! The next day took me to Kensington Market for an event to help promote our MUSIC CAN HEAL palliative care association. I was playing in front of and inside my favourite store, Orbital Arts. Dear Friends of Healing Music, Happy Summer! I hope that you are all enjoying this glorious weather!!!! Beautiful greenery, blue skies, gentle breezes and sweet chirping birds...... Life is good! I am having a fabulous summer! Lots of lovely events, lovely people, lovely energy!!! As part of the Music Can Heal Summer Concert series I played with Chris Gartner at Earle Bales Park. It was quite magical - the forest comes right up to the back of the stage - we played with the trees!! There are more free concerts throughout the summer: www.musiccanheal.org I so enjoyed my time at Ravens Ridge playing at the Soulstice Festival. Here is a photo of me and Mark Daniel. We were serenaded by birds and frogs as we played - magical! I look forward to more events at Ravens Ridge - a magical place! The following week I was so grateful to help facilitate a beautiful, light filled Labyrinth event hosted by the Labyrinth Network here in Toronto. www.labyrinthnetwork.ca I had a lovely Ottawa trip. Played with Mark Daniel at Kalyana Yoga Studio, attended a serene Japanese Tea Ceremony with Rebecca Cragg at Camellia House and the final fun was a Pre CD Launch fundraiser hosted by Wendy Morrell. We listened and danced to the new CD (the one I am doing with Chris Gartner) and then had strawberry shortcake and champagne!!!!! WOW Thanks to all who attended the party and special thanks to Wendy for her magical party skills! Here I am with Rebecca Cragg in her beautiful backyard - our August 21 concert will be here!! Dear Friends of Healing Music, Happy June!!! Such amazing weather and lots and lots of beautiful light. I hope that you are having a wonderful June! May was a fantastic month for me. I was honoured to be asked to play at Koerner Hall for the Mindfulness Conference opening night. There were 500 in the audience, a group that are meditators and people firmly grounded on their spiritual path. So beautiful to share my music with this group energy and also lovely to play in one of the best halls in the world! Amazing acoustics, the flute/energy made me feel like I was being wrapped in warm arms of light and sound...... If the sound had a taste it would be honey! Then two lovely Music Meditations - one with Andrea Gerhardt in Toronto and one with Mark Daniel in Ottawa. While in Ottawa I stayed on a farm and I got to hang out with a beautiful baby foal, so adorable!!!! Here I am at the Music Mediation with Andrea Gerhardt. Back in Toronto I played and danced at the Sacred Dance Workshop - we danced from 9:30am to 9:00pm on the Saturday!!!! So much joy!
